At two months old the Dr. said that your daily activities should be:
-Crying gradually becomes less frequent-(you still have your moments..haha)
-Shows greater variety of emotions:distress, excitement, delight-you are so cute when you are happy because you coo like crazy and you make this excited shrill and it just love it)
-May start to sleep for longer periods of time-You absolutely are and I am so happy for both of us. You started sleeping through the night at six weeks just like Mommy did when she was a baby. Thank you BABY WISE!
-Smiles, gurgles and coos, particularly when talked to- You love when Daddy or I talk to you. You smile like crazy and coo and throw in gurgles too just to show us how much you love us I am sure. It is like winning the lotto with you every day. Your happiness is the world to us.
-Quiets down when held or talked to-You love your Mommy and Daddy and we can both comfort you when you are upset. You love to be held that is for sure.
As far as your vision goes:
-Focuses better-you have incredible focus and I believe you have since birth. You are always focused on something, Nana says it is angels you are looking at.
-Follows objects-you do this too!
Prefers things that are brightly colored- I think this is true for your too!
The Dr. said that your eyes look great and free of cataracts and clear.
He also said that you seem to hear well as well as you respond to noises and are very alert.
Your motor skills makes you a rockstar for being two months old:
-Should be moving more smoothly-You are moving more smoothly for sure.
-Lifts chest for a short time-You sure do this well and I have pictures and video to prove it.
-Holds head steady when held or seated-Once again I have pictures and video to prove it. You are such a smarty Maddie.
-Discovers hands and fingers-I think you have known about your fingers all along as they have been great comfort to you in your short 8 weeks of life. But you most definitely figured out your hands this past week and in fact Mommy even blogged about it in her last post.
-Grasps with more control-This week Mommy introduced you to a lovey(blanket with a head on it with a rattle). You can hold on so tight to that thing including Mommy or Daddy's fingers. You are a (Creson) for sure.
-May bat at dangling objects-You have been doing this for a while and Mommy has blogged about that as well. You spend time on your activity mat daily but I don't think you like the toys and bat at them to get them out of your way. You get so frustrated when they come back...it is adorable.
And last but not least....your stats:
You weight....................................... 13lbs 13oz (97% percentile)
Your length...................................... 24 1/2 inches (97% percentile)
Your head circumfrence........................... 39.5 Centimeters (75% percentile)
GROW BABY GROW!!!!
Dr. told us today that you are most definitely a healthy baby girl :)
Daddy and I must be doing something right.
You also got your shots and immunizations today. Oh boy...you did not like those one bit. Mommy had tears in her eyes to see you get so upset and red but you got some rockin band aids- cammo and tweety bird :) Daddy laughed at Mommy for almost crying but I don't like to see you in pain.
I will leave you now with a photo of you all dressed up to go to the Dr.
