My goodness Madisen you are now in double digits. I know I say it every week but life is flying by since you arrived. This week has been a fun week and your motor skills are improving so much. You are such a little sweetie. I have been enjoying this last month with you and sucking up every once of every minute I can with you. You are starting to get really spoiled but I know if I don't do it I will regret it the minute I go back to work. You seem to get more and more beautiful every day and your Daddy and I are just in awe in the little miracle we have created.
This week Daddy and I have let you sleep on us and we just love to cuddle and hug you. When you sleep in our arms you could literally sleep forever. Some how that doesn't transfer over to your crib. Oh well it makes me feel good to know that you feel so safe in our arms. This week you have fallen in love with blankets or towels. You love to be covered and you will instantly bunch up the material in your hand and stick it right in your mouth. You and your mouth these days I tell ya! You are growing like a weed and some of your clothes aren't fitting you because you are getting so long. Everyone thinks you are months older than you really are because you are so long. I don't really see it until someone else is holding you.
This week you love to jam your entire fist into your mouth. We are not sure why but maybe you might been teething. As I mentioned last week you have become quite the slobber monster and you are getting all of Mommy and Daddy's shirts completely wet. If you weren't so cute and my daughter I don't know what we would do. Your bff Mckynlie got her first tooth at three months and we think maybe you are just trying to keep up with her. You are so cute when you stick you fist in your mouth because you either make the cutest cooing noises or you make little shrieks like you are getting mad that you can't stick your entire fist into your mouth.
You not only bat your toys now but you actually grab them and pull really hard. You have even started the music on one of the toys several times but you don't seem to notice. I just know one of these days you are going to pull so hard that the toy is going to come flying.
This week Mommy bought you a Baby Einstein video to see how you would like it. You make it through two songs before you have a complete meltdown which surprises me because you love music. I think as you get older you will definitely like it more.
10 week stats :)
-You wake at 6AM to eat and you fall back to sleep until 9:30 or 10AM. I promised Daddy I would start putting you back in your crib because when you sleep in so late you seem to be cranky. When we stick to your schedule and you in your crib you are such a happy baby.
-Still doing well on your schedule when Mommy sticks to it. Your naps are averaging about 40 minutes to one hour if you are in your crib.
-You are still doing really well on eating. We have moved you back down to 4 oz because you weren't really interested in the extra ounce but sometimes throughout the day you will be a little fussy and take an extra two ounces or so.
-You still like your activity mat as you can see from above.
-You still have been cooing a lot but some issues with your formula to water ratio came up which made you a little fussy this week so the cooing was still a lot but I think there would have been more.
-You have worn your rubber paci out. OH NO!!!! I have to go to Fresno to buy you another one but for now you have the orthodontic rubber paci made by the same company which will have to do.
You are still in size two diapers and we are trying Huggies again.
-You have fallen asleep a few times without being swaddled but you always wake yourself up so I will swaddle you until you are 18 if it means you sleep better.
Thank you for being a beacon of hope in our eyes. You make us want to be better people and I look forward to spending these last few weeks with you before I go back to work because I am going to hug and love on you like crazy. You make us whole Madisen and I cannot believe the love we have for you. Your Daddy is so in love and it brings a smile to my face to see how much you love him too! Keep growing healthy and strong baby girl.
