Day Off!

Coach Neal actually gave me the night off last night. Which means that I must now run double today even though technically today was a scheduled day off. Apparently Neal doesn't believe in days off so he has to double up for missing yesterday. Which was fine because I got to enjoy some of the finer things in life i.e. family and friends last night at Brooklynn's big #2 birthday. I love little kid birthdays and the way they tear through the paper and reacting with the big eyes and oohs and ahhs. It is so precious and I must admit I was happy to be there and not on the trail. However, I do have that sense of guilt creeping up inside saying I should have ran yesterday if only the big N hadn't of given me the night off. But hey, I will be back out there today in the rain with my sweet trash bag of a poncho. (Don't be jealous it's designer "Hefty")
On a better note, I received my first donation yesterday compliments of Aunt Mary Ann. Now I only have $2,720.00 to go. I must admit that number is a little intimidating but here is what I plan to do to raise money. I will be hosting a fundraising Pampered Chef show in which I will receive 30% back in sales in the form of cash rather than receive free Pampered Chef product. (I also set up as a consultant for Pampered Chef so let me know if you are interested in booking a show....That is the first and last time you will hear me ask...I promise) I also will be selling See's Candy like I am in grade school raising money for a field trip but all the proceeds will go towards my fundraising. I will have a state of the art garage sell in which you may donate your used goods and all sales will go towards my campaign. Also, I will be selling tickets that you can purchase for $5.00 that will go in a raffle to win one of three items. Those items being a GPS, a Garmin Forerunner, and lastly a bike of some kind. (I will have to get back to you on that.) Last but not least I will be tackling the donations via Snail Mail and sending out letters to all of my loved ones. So please forgive me if you have already gotten anything else from me, it is all in a database now in preparation for down on my knees begging for help :)
I never thought I would get so excited about something but knowing that all my hard work will go back to help others suffering from blood cancer gives me so much ambition.

Thank you for all of your support. Every time I want to give up I think of my family and friends who are supporting me and you keep me going.

Love Yah,

Chanizle
