Yesterday I hit the gym again in training for my marathon. Training schedule had us down for one hour of walking or circuit training. Being that I am still waiting for my trainer to call me I opted for the one hour of walking on the treadmill and got a little over 3 miles in. It was a difficult day for me because I just wanted to go home and go to bed but I had so much to do in preparation for my party tonight with Tiffany so I stuck it out and got the job done.
I am thrilled that the training coaches changed our meet time Saturday to 7:00 AM. Which means I no longer have to wake up at 4:45. If you know me well enough you know that I loathe getting out of bed when the sun has yet to even come up. I am not at all a morning person and Neal will definitely vouch for that. I am sure every morning he feels like he has a toddler that he has to carry out of bed just to get going in the morning. I know that soon he will result to dumping water on me to shock me out of bed. I really really hate mornings unless of course it is a weekend and that darn annoying beep isn't going off summoning me out of bed. I think that the real world should start business at like 10 and end by 4. In a dream world but who knows I might be the author of that world some day.
So we do 6 miles on Saturday and work our way up and over Rocky Hill and I am stoked. What an amazing accomplishment to say you walked that and were finished before most people head out to have breakfast. I am so proud of myself that I have committed to this in every shape and form including the early wake up morning calls.
